The Day of the Dead Festival, better known as Día de los Muertos, is a Hispanic holiday that celebrates the continuous relationship between the family and friends of those that have passed away. Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre will be hosting this Hispanic event for the third year in a row on the November 5th & 6th weekend of 2011, and is looking to welcome newer souls (both living and deceased) to attend.
To revitalize the heartbeat of this event, I visually celebrated the event’s already energetic, playful and unconventional spirit via bright colours and whimsical lines. The new brand is carried through different print mediums such as the promotional poster, event guide-book and special event ticket.
